As per this article from the B&N Sci-Fi & Fantasy Blog, it looks like the possibility for Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series being adapted to the screen is very likely. I had a hard time getting into the books, but I think seeing an on-screen adaptation could be quite entertaining. As always, it would have to be done well in order for such an epic tale to work. I'm interested to see which studio picks this up.
